Take one photo or piece of video to represent every day of the year. This was the last task I squeezed into 2015. It was also one of the hardest items I have conquered to date, and the most surprising.

The idea to take one photo to represent each day of the year came from others who had completed a 365 project, and also from those incredible stories you read of individuals photographing a specific scene on a routine basis. My thinking was this would be simple to replicate. I had grandeur ideas. This is where the surprising part comes in. It was not simple at all.

My first attempt at this challenge was the year before, but I failed having forgotten a few dates midway through the year. This was extremely frustrating given the progress I had made. To keep me motivated and focused in 2015, I decided to upload all my pictures to Instagram as I went along.

On a number of occasions I found myself struggling to find a topic to document, or I simply forgot to take a photograph until late in the day. Where I lacked inspiration on these dates, I was led to upload mundane photos ranging from a picture of a shower head to a plain brown roll of wrapping paper. The silly thing is they still got likes on Instagram.

Whilst the series of 365 photographs may have frustrated some of my friends on Instagram, it is another task ticked off, and a big weight off of my shoulders. I found it extremely challenging, but would certainly recommend it to others as something to pursue.

**Note** There are currently two dates missing awaiting approval. They will be uploaded shortly.
