Is Monaco a European capital city? I don’t know, but I have been there. Let’s just say it is listed on Wikipedia under European capital cities. That means I have now ticked off two European capital cities for 2015.

This item was ticked off as part of a 30th birthday present that my girlfriend had organised. It is a destination I have wanted to visit for some time. The glamorous yachts, cars and F1 racing are enticing propositions. In my case, I am purely a spectator on those fronts.

Hopefully next time I can return in time for the F1 racing.

Although Monaco was awesome, my ultimate goal for item #85 is to visit at least one European capital city with the aim to visit all of them. The latest status now stands at 11 out of 47:

Amsterdam, The Hague, Andorra La Vella, Athens, Belgrade, Berlin, Bern, Bratislava, Brussels, BucharestBudapest, Chisinau, Copenhagen, Dublin, Helsinki, Kiev, Lisbon, Ljublijana, London, Luxembourg, Madrid, Minsk, Monaco, Moscow, Nicosia, Nuuk, Oslo, Paris, Podgorica, PragueReykjavikRiga, Rome, San Marino, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sodia, Stockholm, Tallin, Tirana, Vaduz, Valletta, Vatican City, Vienna, Vilnius, Warsaw, and Zagreb

In all my blog posts for 2015 I have tried to include a related joke. It turns out there are not too many jokes in reference to Monaco, and so I will go with a fact on this occasion.

Monaco is world renowned for its casino, yet citizens of Monaco are not even allowed to visit the casino’s.
