Seeing my favourite city from the sky has always been a dream of mine. Those who know me will all be aware of my love for London. I am extremely biased. Although I have seen it from a number of angles, I had never seen it from above.
The idea of being in a helicopter was quite a challenge for me given my fear of heights, but it was something I was willing to overcome. The chance to fly in a helicopter over London came as a present from my girlfriend. The flight started at North Weald airfield in Essex, and the helicopter took us down the Thames and back again. One highlight for me was seeing the red poppies surrounding the Tower of London. It was an amazing sight from above.

My recommendation for this experience is to keep a close eye out for offers across deal sites such as Groupon. The costs can be quite steep, and you are not in the air for more than 3o minutes, but my gosh is it an amazing view. This is definitely one you should all give a go at least once – fly in a helicopter.
