Facebook helped me to complete my first and last Panini World Cup sticker book. Like most things on my list, this item stems from my childhood. Whilst I recall completing a handful of sticker books as a child, I do not recall ever getting involved in the Panini World Cup sticker range with any real intent. Being a World Cup year presented me with the perfect opportunity to put this right.

I collected a free Panini World Cup sticker album from my local Tesco’s and off I went. The book slowly started to fill up before plateauing.  It was at this point I read a newspaper article estimating the average cost to complete a Panini World Cup sticker album was in excess of £400. My initial thought was to give up, but a teacher friend pointed me in the direction of a swap group on Facebook. This group would prove my saviour as like-minded individuals exchanged messages on swaps and needs. I say ‘like-minded individuals’, but this term should be interpreted loosely. The group was primarily populated of parents helping their children complete their books, and not 29 year old males like myself. In any case, I now have a completed Panini World Cup sticker album.
